Believe in Jesus.

rivers of living water

If you want to be set free from your bondage to sin and your emotional distress, then you must repent of your sins and believe in the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ who is the Son of God – God in the flesh. This is the only way your life will ever change. His grace and love provide you with the way out of the life of depression and suicide, drunkenness and drugs, promiscuity and perversion, lies and more lies, etc., etc. I am a former slave of sin, but I am now a slave of His righteousness because of Jesus Christ’s radical power to transform anyone from within! Jesus Christ is the only One who possesses the Living Water – the Holy Spirit – to fill you with His love, peace, and boldness to live for Him and share Him with others. “He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his inmost being shall flow rivers of living water” – John 7:38.

I Rejoice in Christ Jesus

Hoo ray!-3.png

I rejoice in Christ Jesus because of what He alone has accomplished.

Jesus Christ purchased my redemption – my slavery to sin and Satan’s dominion over my life – through His death on the cross, His burial, and His resurrection.

Jesus Christ purchased me with His own blood and washed me from the filth and power of my sins, so I could become a loving, slave to God.

He justified me by His righteousness – justification means that God declares me righteous and gives me His own righteousness by faith in Jesus Christ.

So, I rejoice in Jesus Christ and put no confidence in my fleshly abilities, intelligence, skills, or works to save myself. I cannot save myself from my own sins or free myself from the power my sins had over me. However, by faith in Jesus Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection, I have received Christ into my heart and His power in my life. I now have His life in me, so my life has been transformed and set free from sin. I now possess new godly, desires given to me by the Holy Spirit, and His power to fulfill them. All this I have obtained by faith in Christ Jesus and not by my works or being a good person.

Being a good person does not set me free from sin or the eternal punishment which is sin’s result. I rejoice in Christ Jesus and do not put trust in my weak ability to be good. I rejoice in Christ Jesus and not in my own works in order to be saved. I rejoice in Christ Jesus because through faith in Him I have been given Salvation, Sanctification, and will be glorified, and none of these blessing were earned by my goodness.

I rejoice in Christ Jesus my Lord because He has have given me His power to live and become more and more like Him. I did not earn His power or earn the right to obtain His power. I received the power of His Holy Spirit by faith in His Gospel. I have power in my life, today, because Jesus Christ has given me His life by His grace not by my works.

I rejoice in Jesus Christ and not in my own self-righteousness or goodness or abilities. I have Christ-Centered Reliance that He will perform in me all that He promised to those who believe in His Gospel.

I rejoice in Jesus Christ because He has made me a new creation that is zealous for good works and empower by His Holy Spirit to do them by His grace.

I rejoice in Christ Jesus and have achieved nothing apart from His life in me.

I rejoice in Jesus Christ because by His work, I have been given His life because of His grace: “For by grace are you saved through faith, and that not of yourselves it is is the gift of God.┬áNot of works least any man should boast” – Ephesians 2:8-9.

The Axiom of a True Apostle. Philippians 1:15-20

The Axiom of a True Apostle. Philippians 1.15-20.

The axiom of a true apostle is to preach Christ. Paul preached Christ, and he rejoiced when Christ was preached. Paul defended the preaching of Christ and not himself. He could have dropped the Gospel for freedom from imprisonment. He didn’t. He was faithful to his calling. May you, dear reader, be encouraged by this message from God’s Word. God bless you.
