The words we speak will have an impact upon others and ourselves – “the fruit of our mouths” is entirely important to Christ. God wants us to learn to speak His words of truth in love – good words are godly words shaped by the Scriptures and express faith-filled optimism in the power of God and His truth no matter what is going on in our lives or nation. Believers are encouraged to “let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom” – Colossians 3:16. The world is lost, political erosion smears our nation, social blindness spreads with one click, and Satan laughs. Yet, God’s people are armed with God’s truth and anointed with His Holy Spirit – let us have faith in Him who is ever faithful. Speak His truth in love; in doing so, you will bless others, and God will return that blessing to you. The only answer to the dilemma of ungodliness is the “Good News” of Jesus Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection. It is He who rules the nations, it is He who has determined the future, and it is He whom we must seek and represent in this present darkness. Speak the truth in love, and may we never forget the grace of God when we were once blind too. God bless.
