The Hope of Firstfruits

The hope of.png

The Feast of Firstfruits is significant because it always occurs on Sunday of Passover week, and it always thanks God for the harvest that is yet to come!

Maybe you are one who thinks you have nothing to look forward to or that your life is not worth anything, but that’s not true. Perhaps you feel alone and empty inside, and you actually think your life has no value. Or, your feelings tell you that you are not worth anything to God, but that is not true. Anyone who repents of their sins and believes in Jesus Christ has so much of God’s goodness to look forward to:

“But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept” – 1 Cor. 15:20

Christ, Himself is the Firstfruits of “them that slept” or of those who died fully believing in His death and resurrection. These will live again.

You and I, and all that are in Christ, have so much to look forward to.

“But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ’s at his coming” – 1 Cor. 15:23

By way of biblical typology, the first ripe sheaf of the Kingdom of Heaven is Jesus Christ, and He is looking forward to many, many more sheaves! He is the Firstfruits of them that sleep, and according to the Word of God, all that are Christ’s shall be resurrected at His coming in the rapture of His church:

“16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. 18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.” – 1 Thess. 4:16-18.

The Hope of Firstfruits is the Resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ. He is alive. He is risen from the dead!

Happy Resurrection Sunday.

God’s Love Builds Up Others

Knowledge puffs up but love edifies.

Knowledge of God’s Word is to make us “wise unto salvation.” As we grow in our maturity in Christ, the Lord Jesus and His Gospel should become even more precious to us. Our love for Christ Jesus and others should become more and more fervent; true spiritual growth is not measured by how much of the Bible we know but by how much of the Bible we wisely practice. A mature, knowledgeable believer will abound in the love of God toward others. Kindness, forbearance, forgiveness, and truth and grace will flourish in his or her character because the Holy Spirit has made Christlikeness their passion. God’s love (as He has defined love – 1 Corinthians 13) will permeate within them filling their hearts, emotions, and thoughts with His love and overflowing through their speech, behavior, and attitudes toward others. “Knowledge puffs up, but love edifies” – 1 Corinthians 1:8. God’s love builds up others:)

What’s Important?

What’s Important?

By far, the most important thing in life is knowing Jesus Christ.

There is nothing that will last forever except a personal relationship with Jesus of Nazareth the Messiah of Israel.

Do you know Jesus the Messiah (Christ – the Anointed One)?

Is Jesus your Messiah? Is Jesus your King? Is Jesus your glory? Is Jesus everything to you?

It has been said, “that if Jesus isn’t in first place, then He is out of place.”

Is Jesus Christ first in your life? Do you know the Lord Jesus Christ?

He is coming. He is coming again. He will rule on this earth.

Only those who know Him will be granted eternal life and escape God’s wrath and eternal damnation in the Lake of Fire.

You can know Him who is from the beginning – the Lord Jesus – the Messiah of Israel.

John 20:31 King James Version (KJV)

“But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.”

Take the time to read the Bible; read the book of the Gospel of John.

May you know the Lord Jesus Christ as your God and Savior and receive eternal life by believing in Him and repenting of sin.

God bless you.

The New Life

Jesus the Messiah of Israel claimed, “I AM the Way, the Truth, and the Life; no man comes to the Father but by Me” (John 14:6, emphasis mine).

The Messiah, Jesus of Nazareth, was crucified for your sins. He rose again from the dead three days later! He is presently alive. You can have a new life, in Christ, if you repent of your sins and believe His truth.

It’s up to you – do you want a new life? Do you want a real life? Do you want everlasting life or everlasting damnation in the Lake of Fire?

There is no other life – He is the WAY, the TRUTH, and the LIFE.

Christ Jesus is who you are missing in your life.

He will make all things new in your heart.

He is merciful, loving, and gracious… but He will return to this earth and judge those who have chosen to follow Satan.

By rejecting Christ as one’s God and Savior, a human being remains an enemy of Christ.

All who reject Christ remain servants of the “the prince of the power of the air” – Satan (https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=eph.+2&version=KJV). However, Jesus the Messiah, will save you from Satan’s lies and enslavement to sin, and He will graciously make you His own.

Become a disciple of Jesus the Messiah of Israel; He is God, and He loves you (https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=titus+2%3A13&version=KJV).

God bless you, dear friend.

May you know the Lord Jesus, the Messiah.
