Passover is a 3,500 year-old Jewish tradition commanded by God to commemorate God’s gracious intervention when He chose to deliver and redeem Israel through the blood of the lamb. By God’s gracious hand, the Jewish people are still celebrating this great work of God. Israel has survived the Pharaohs, the Hamans, the Hitlers, and the Ayatollahs of this World. God has preserved His chosen people throughout all generations.
Yet, Passover is not only about the prince, shepherd, and a mere human redeemer called Moses and the lambs that were slain to save Israel from the judgment of God upon Egypt and all of her gods, but the Jewish Passover is also about the Messiah the Prince of Israel and the King of the Jews. The Passover is about the Good Shepherd who gives His life for the sheep and the Redeemer who redeems His brethren from their hopelessness, tears, pain, slavery, and bondage to sin, Satan, and the world. The Passover reveals the One Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world – Yeshua of Nazareth who is the Messiah of Israel. Happy Passover! Yeshua of is ALIVE!:)
