Wise For Salvation

Wise For Salvation

Paul commanded Timothy in 2 Timothy 4:2-3:

“Preach the word in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; and will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables.”

Everything the Holy Spirit wants to reveal to us about our Lord Jesus Christ and our relationship with Him is found in the written Word – the Scriptures. That is why the Scriptures are to be preached.

Everything we need to know about salvation in Jesus Christ, walking in the power of the Holy Spirit, and the gifts of Holy Spirit is found in the Scriptures. That is why we must preach the Word.

Every doctrine or teaching that we need to believe, embrace, and follow is found in the written Words of the Holy Spirit that are only contained in the entirety of the 66 books of the Bible. Read the Bible, dear friend.

Paul explained, “But evil men and imposters will grow worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived. But you must continue in the things which you have learned and been assured of, knowing from whom you have learned them, and that from childhood you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus” – 2 Timothy 3:13-15.

The Holy Spirit’s discipleship process for His converts is to reveal His written truth from the Bible, so disciples of Jesus Christ will do – will obey – the Word of God.

Our discipleship depends upon the truths taught, read, and believed from the Words of truth found only in the Holy Spirit’s written Word that we call the Bible.

It is my prayer that you will find a fellowship in your area that teaches through the books of the Bible, so you will learn what the Holy Spirit has written and remain a doer of the Word:

“But be doers of the Word and not hearers only deceiving your own selves” – James 1:22.

God bless you.
